The Cummins 3969987 Heater Grid is a genuine Cummins replacement for the clogged or failing heater grid in your 1998.5-2007 Dodge 5.9L Cummins. The heater grid is designed to warm the incoming air to help aid the ignition of the diesel fuel/air mixture. A heater grid is more efficient than glow plugs as the engine loses the heat generated from the glow plugs when it draws incoming air. This all-new heater grid is made to the exact specifications of your factory unit and it was tested to ensure it meets Cummins’s strict tolerances.
