The DFC Diesel Remanufactured KORE Series Long Block Crate Engine is an affordable replacement for the blown diesel in your 2004 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. The KORE Series of engines were designed to bridge the gap for Super Duty and Excursion owners that want a quality engine but are working on a tighter budget. These engines are built to the same high standards and quality of DFC's regular engines and include numerous upgrades to the common failure areas.
The KORE Series engines give you an excellent build but reduce costs by
not including items that can often be re-used or easily sourced by the
end user.
Engine Remanufacturing
These engines are machined utilizing some of the most advanced machining equipment in North America. This Rottler equipment helps ensure the engines feature tolerances that are better than OEM specifications. In addition, the Kore Series features all new pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, valves, springs, hardened seats, stem seals, and cast guides. Engines come standard with OptiTorque or ARP 2000 Series Head Studs (depending on availability), and upgraded Rod Bolts, Total Seal Gapless Piston Rings, and offer improved gasket sealing methods in common leakage areas.
DFC 6.0L Long Block Engine Includes
Complete short block assembly and gaskets, plus cylinder heads. A complete top end gasket kit is included to finish install.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items, Sold Separately):
Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher mileage engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K miles, mandatory if shaft play is present, or if engine was dusted.
Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K miles.
Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion, boil over, and all-around a better cooling system performance.
Application Notes:
Does not include: front cover, rear cover, oil pump, upper oil pan mounting plate, oil pan, oil pickup tube, and other regular items that normally ship with long block engines.
