Upgrade the stock torque converter on your 1994-2007 Dodge 5.9L diesel with the Diesel Performance Converters DPC DRM1 Single Disc Torque Converter. Built to handle up to 950 lb-ft of torque, this converter is perfect for the truck owner that needs an upgrade, but doesn't plan to make a bunch of power down the road. This single disc clutch uses DPC's proven friction materials. The stator has also been modified to provide an improved fluid coupling that improves driveability and towing characteristics.

Low stall converter

I swapped to the DPC converter because my flex plate began to fail. I also installed the DPC HD flex plate, ARP flex plate to crank bolts along with some other odds and ends. I’ve put about 500 miles so far on the converter and am pleased with it thoroughly. Lock up is solid the stall is advertised as about 150 rpm lower stall honestly it does seem to take a little less throttle to get things going. So that’s pretty accurate it might actually be a little more than 150 to lower. Overall super pleased.

This torque converter is supposed to be 150 rpms lower than stock stall. What is stock stall speed on a 47re?
