Turbocharger lag is usually the result of an improperly matched turbocharger. As the compressor wheel size is increased to meet the airflow requirements of the engine, it gets heavier, which hurts response time. BD's turbo systems, using Borg Warners unique Extended Tip compressor wheel technology and low inertia, full-floating journal bearings, outperforms ball bearing turbochargers of a similar size. Our unique dual-volute turbine housing picks up low rpm exhaust pulses for improved turbine response, while the dual-action waste gate bleeds off turbine drive pressure from both volutes. BD's turbo systems also feature a heavy-duty waste gate actuator that prevents pre-mature opening caused by high exhaust pressure. You can even fine-tune your BD/AirWerks turbo for ambient temperature and barametric pressure changes using BD's adjustable waste gate control. Put simply, you'll get more power, quicker response, cooler EGT's and lower exhaust emissions with a BD/AirWerks turbocharger! The Pusher DC9498LM Low Mount Compound Turbo System for your 1994-1998 Dodge 5.9L Cummins allows you to add a second turbo to your truck (turbo not included). This kit supports up to 750HP with the stock Holset turbocharger, and well over 1000HP with upgraded turbochargers. Compatible with most Borg Warner S400 frame turbochargers, this kit includes CNC machined and laser cut flanges for flawless mounting to your engine. Built with precision, Pusher components are precision TIG welded to produce beautiful welds and optimal penetration without impacting airflow. Designed to work with stock and most "stock replacement" aftermarket exhaust manifolds. This system features a full 3.5" steel intermediate charge pipe with a port for a boost sensor (not included). Front mount 5" cold air intake with massive Pusher 50 CAL air filter that takes advantage of fresh air coming through the grill. The Low-Mount Compound Turbo System mounts the passenger-side battery at the back of the engine via a 3/8" thick 6061-T6 aluminum tray. 5" heat wrapped downpipe to protect underhood components. The Intermediate Exhaust Pipe (IEP) has the most streamlined wastegate port on the market which gives the stock turbocharger the ability to easily drive the S400. The IEP is routed for optimum exhaust flow with no impact to surrounding engine bay components, and is hydro-formed to smoothly transmission and match the S400 turbine inlet. Includes 5" heat wrapped downpipe. The Low Mount Kit flips the stock exhaust manifold and places the atmospheric turbo low next to the engine block. The extreme duty turbo mount is proven to hold the S400 in place in any conditions. The S400 turbocharger has been placed in the optimal location for routing of every component in the system. If you want to upgrade down the road, the stock turbocharger can be swapped out for an S300 based turbocharger with just a change of the intermediate exhaust pipe for more air delivery at a later date.
