BD-Power Exhaust Brake Turbo Mount DFIV Vac 125 15.80 BD-Power Exhaust Brake Turbo Mount DFIV Vac
2.5 5 2
$ 1150
Increase your driving confidence and towing safety with the superior retarding performance of the BD Brake for 89-06 5.9 liter Cummins engines. Using BDs exclusive Variable Orifice Technology, BDs turbo-mount design bolts in place of the factory elbow between the turbo and the exhaust system, providing peak retarding power throughout the engines rpm rangenot just at high rpm like other brands. Our remote-mount models, meanwhile, mount in the exhaust pipe and are perfect for modified applications that may use an aftermarket turbo. Designed for years of reliable operation, the BD Brakes rugged cast-iron housing incorporates BDs exclusive AlumiBronze bushing and piston ring-sealed, stainless steel butterfly shaft that has proven to stand up under the harsh, high-heat conditions of the exhaust environment. Actuated by an air cylinder (newer models) or a powerful, three-inch vacuum cylinder (earlier models), the offset butterfly valve wont stick, and has been strategically placed in the elbow so that it wont impede exhaust flow when in the open position. The BD brake incorporates a threaded port for mounting an Exhaust Gas Temperature probe, as well as a 1/4-inch stainless steel port that can be used to monitor the brakes retarding performance. Got a modified or twin-turbo application? BDs remote-mount or vacuum-actuated four-inch kits are an effective solution. Controlled by a lighted On/Off toggle switch for automatic transmissions, or stick-mounted rocker switch for manual transmissions, the BD brake communicates with the engines electronic idle verification board for quick engagement. The durable air compressor included in later model kits can even be used for other applicationsits that tough. Automatic-equipped trucks prior to 2006 require BDs programmable Tow Loc and Pressure Loc kits to electronically control torque converter clutch engagement. This addition effectively reduces slippage, resulting in peak retarding performance as well as lower transmission temperatures. All BD Brake kits come complete with the brake, air compressor (where applicable), mounting hardware and complete instructions. Note: Not for use with aftermarket turbo's.

BD-Power Remote Mount 4" Exhaust Brake 1037136 15701 22.00 BD-Power Remote Mount 4" Exhaust Brake 1037136
$ 1205
The BD-Power Remote Mount 4" Exhaust Brake 1037136 provides safe retarding horsepower in your 1998.5-2002 Dodge 5.9L Cummins. Descending grades with trailers can be hazardous and tricky situations, resulting in over heated service and trailer brakes, that leads to brake fade, excessive wear, and costly unwarranted repairs. BD Engine brake has been the industries time proven variable regulating exhaust back-pressure exhaust brake. Controlled by a lighted On/Off toggle switch or optional stick-mounted rocker switch for manual transmissions, the BD brake communicates with the engines electronic idle verification board for quick engagement. Using BDs exclusive Variable butterfly Technology, providing peak retarding power throughout the engines rpm range unlike some models that rely on a hole/orifice within the butterfly to calibrate back-pressure only in the higher engine RPM . Got a modified or twin-turbo application? This remote mount exhaust brake incorporates all of BD's standard technology found in their turbo mount units into a 4 free flowing design that wont impede the exhaust flow and performance enhancements you worked so hard to achieve. The BD Brakes rugged cast-iron housing incorporates BDs exclusive AlumiBronze bushing and positive sealing piston ring, no blind holes for carbon and rust to form, and miles of leak free retarding. Features: Vaccuum Actuated For Use With Non-Stock Turbochargers Remote Mount - Mounts Inline In Exhaust System Note: Trucks with automatic transmissions are suggested to also install an AutoLoc for electronic controlled lock-converters, or, a lower stall converter for manual or no lock-up converters
BD-Power TorqLoc Torque Convertor Control System 1030395 4078 2.00 BD-Power TorqLoc Torque Convertor Control System 1030395
$ 360
Command the torque converter to stay locked, stay unlocked, or revert to OEM settings with the BD TorqLoc. Flip the toggle switch to position one, and the lock-up clutch is engaged, so transmission temperature remains low and the exhaust brake can work with 100% effectiveness (this is a manual setting and should only be selected under light load/light power conditions, such as highway driving). Position two reverts back to stock function, or can be wired to unlock the torque converter. Position three acts as an AutoLoc by commanding lock-up only when the exhaust brake is engaged - perfect setting for every day driving in all situations. Additionally, the TorqLoc has an Overdrive inverter option which allows the transmission to start out in Drive which will prevent upshift into the Overdrive gear - great for those who live in city/urban areas. Also, if you have a BD Valve Body with the second gear lock-up capability, the lock-up can be set to hold until 5-10 mph.

Pacbrake C18037 Maintenance Lube 19177 1.00 Pacbrake C18037 Maintenance Lube
$ 7.81
Pacbrake exhaust brakes are relatively maintenance free when used at every opportunity. However, to get the maximum amount of trouble free service a few areas require periodic lubrication. Lubrication is one key factor for trouble free service of your exhaust brake. The two reasons that give an exhaust brake problems are worn parts and seizing parts. Worn parts are caused by extreme use without the benefit of the proper lubrication. Seized parts can be attributed to seasonal use and lack of lubrication. Periodic lubrication will prevent these two issues. Applying Pacbrakes synthetic lubricant to the moving parts at every oil change will eliminate both these problems. FOR OPTIMUM RESULTS, FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS With the engine off, apply a sufficient amount (4-5 drops) to the following locations: Both cylinder pivot ends Cylinder air line port Main butterfly shaft Cylinder rod Base of the spring lever (PRXB only)
Pacbrake C44062 InLine Mount PRXB Exhaust Brake 25439 35.00 Pacbrake C44062 InLine Mount PRXB Exhaust Brake
$ 1269.3
The Pacbrake C44062 InLine Mount PRXB Exhaust Brake for your 1998.5 Dodge 5.9L Cummins is Pacbrakes flagship product, the PRXB (pressure regulated exhaust brake), is the unquestioned leader in the supplemental brake industry. The patented PRXB design delivers the strongest braking horsepower, greatest speed reductions and shortest stopping distances possible without the use of service brakes. It maintains optimum retarding performance by maximizing the exhaust backpressure throughout the entire RPM range. Unlike a typical exhaust brake, which requires high RPMs to work properly, the PRXB delivers constant exhaust pressure (braking) as early as 1200 RPM through to the maximum allowable RPM. Controlled by a master ON/OFF switch, Pacbrakes exhaust brakes provide whisper quiet supplemental braking that allows service brakes to be used much less, ultimately saving you money. They have the ability to be left on all the time, making it ideal for in-city driving or for steep, downhill grades. This product pays for itself as less wear on the brake pads means fewer brake jobs. WHATS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE PRXB? In order to have consistent and effective braking over the entire RPM range, it is important (and necessary) to maintain constant backpressure. To achieve this, Pacbrakes patented design has incorporated an additional waste gate on the butterfly valve to regulate the amount of exhaust flow that is being passed through. The flow is controlled by a spring-loaded arm, whose pressure rating and location are key factors in the functionality of the PRXB. Located outside of the housing and away from the heat, the spring is able to maintain its strength and durability for years of proper and precise braking performance. CREATING and MAINTAINING BACKPRESSURE Backpressure is created by exhaust flow entering the housing, hitting the closed butterfly valve and being forced back out in the direction it came. It is maintained by the pressure-controlled spring that is located on the outside of the exhaust brake housing. PREMIUM BRAKING PERFORMANCE As the engines RPM increase, the spring compresses and the arm moves away from the butterfly valve, therefore releasing more exhaust flow through the orifice. As the RPMs decrease, the spring releases and the arm applies pressure back onto the plate, covering the hole, and ultimately releasing a smaller amount of exhaust flow. There is less than a 10% change in backpressure over the entire RPM range on the PRXB Features and Benefits: PRXB Delivers Strongest Braking Horsepower Less Wear and Tear On Service Brakes Ideal For In-City Driving Or Steep, Downhill Grades Additional Mounting Hardware Required (sold separately) For a 3" exhaust, use part #C11440 For a 3.5" exhaust, use part #C11420 For a 4" exhaust, use part#C11400
