New Truck
Michael Petty (Spring, TX) | May 3rd, 2009
'00 F250SD 4x4 with an AFE Progaurd 7 cold air kit and just installed a Magnaflo exhaust. But the biggest change for my truck was the Edge Programmer. Installation was a snap. Even tapping the exhaust,(which I hated doing) for the pyrometer was simple, the instruction were well layed out. I tryed it, first time, on level 3. That level lets me know I am in need of a new, heavier clutch for my manual transmission. The transmission can't stick with the engine. I have to take it easy. Well, I keep it at level 2 and it still slips if I don't watch it. It is worth the money.

i have used superchips before and it wasnt much but with edge wow... i got a 99 f-250 auto and i got single stack, aFe intake, better wastegate, and a high pressure oil crossover line. and i put this on it and wow it smokes like a MF exhaust and tires. let my bro try on his 01 f-350 and it is totally stock and he gets 23 mpg i only get 18 with my foot on it...
not for excursion!!

Bought this for my 01 excursion and the truck wouldn't start after trying to program it. something about the factory security. i called XDP and they walked me through getting the truck started again. they even took the unit back and put me into something else. while i was pissed at first XDP did the right thing and took care of me.

Most Popular Questions

Does the cable come with it ?
View Staff Answer
The Edge Products 15001 Evolution Programmer will include all the cables needed for installation in your truck.

The Edge Ep15001 is installed into the vehicles OBDII port. Edge has not tested the stacking of their device with the TS Chips, therefore, does not recommend running the 2 devices together.

Is this compatible with banks trans comand ? Does it come with all sensors & connections ? Does it come in tan?
View Staff Answer

The Edge Products 15001 Evolution Programmer can be used with the Banks Power Trans Command, but offers very similar tuning characteristics already. The device will include all the cables, dash pod (Dash Pods may need to be painted to match color of interior) and EGT probe for installation in your truck. All other parameters will be read through the vehicles ECM.

I have a 2000 F250 with the 7.3 Powerstroke. It is 100% stock. What kind of results could I expect from just this? Results based on a stock vehicle
View Staff Answer

The power levels below are exactly what is expected regardless of the truck being stock or modified. (2-3 MPG increase depending on your driving habits)

Level 1: 60 Horsepower - 100 Foot Pounds of Torque

Level 2: 80 Horsepower - 140 Foot Pounds of Torque

Level 3: 100 Horsepower - 200 Foot Pounds of Torque

Does the tuner need to be pluged in to get results? (Concern about theft in neighbor hood
View Staff Answer

Not at all, once the programs have been installed on the truck, the display can be plugged in and out as you choose.
