I did a lot of reading on these blocker plates before I got one. if the only thing it does is save your turbo from getting plugged and limiting the incoming airflow, then it is worth it. Put this on my 06 dmax and it was a pain putting in but did the job in an hour. it is a must to upgrade the exhaust as this decreased my throttle response because more gasses are being pushed out through the stock exhaust.
