Description
The Fleece FPE-CLNTBYPS-MAN Coolant Bypass Kit addresses the common issue of poor coolant flow to the back cylinders in your 2003-2007 Dodge Ram 5.9L Diesel with manual transmission. As you add performance parts to your stock engine, the factory cooling system can no longer supply the demand for the increased heat that's generated. When coolant temperature increases, pressure begins to build to critical levels, potentially blowing the freeze plugs out on the engine block which can cripple your truck!
By designing their coolant bypass kit with a temperature activated thermostat, the pressure never reaches damaging levels and ensures consistent temperatures across all six cylinders. Included with the kit are high-quality O-Ring fittings and AN hose connections with your choice of braided black nylon or braided stainless steel hose for a secure, leak-free installation.

Install was not to bad just a tight spot and drained about 3 gallons of coolant out so nothing leaked. I used a 24in striking prybar instead of 36in to get a good hit on the freeze plug and it popped right out. Just remove the 2 14mm bolts holing the electricial connections bracket to the trans (drivers side) and you'll have enough room to get both bolts started from the bottom for fleeces bypass. Tighten the drivers one from the bottom and the passenger one from the top using a flex head ratchet. Drove the truck around for 10 minutes afterwards after warming it up for 5 minutes and it never reached operating temperature im guessing its working pretty good.
