Description
The Garrett 773542-5001S PowerMax GT4094VA Stage 2 Turbocharger is a must have for any 04.5-10 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY/LBZ/LMM Duramax owner thats looking to get more out of their truck. Featuring the Garrett patented Advanced Variable Nozzle Turbine (AVNT) design for increased compressor flow and boost response. This turbocharger features a larger compressor trim (52), plus larger GT40 turbine wheel and vanes over the Stage 1 model. The GT4094VA also utilizes nine movable vanes which significantly increase turbine efficiency and improves engine performance from idle launch through peak torque.
Designed as a drop-in upgrade, the GT4094VA retains use of factory components such as engine electronics, mounting pedestal and requires no additional modifications to your factory exhaust system. Utilizing a larger compressor wheel the GT4094VA turbocharger will increase your maximum power range while supporting up to 575HP with no sacrifice to drivability.
While this turbocharger is suitable as a replacement for factory equipment, its recommended that additional fueling upgrades such as aftermarket/custom tuning are installed or already in use. Includes turbocharger, adapter cable and installation instructions.

When the Powermax turbo is new, or has not operated for a long period of time allowing most of the oil to drain out, the rotating assembly will move more in the radial direction because there is no oil in the center housing. This condition is normal. As long as the shaft wheel spins freely and the wheels don't contact their respective housings, the assembly will function properly.

My 2005 Chevrlet 2500D 4X4 crew cab makes 605hp/1092ftlb tq with this turbo, efi live and other modifications. No internal modifications to the engine. The truck runs mid 13's all day long and pulls the occassional sled. Turbo has been in truck for a year now with no issues. Highly recommend this turbo.

I just got done with the install of this turbo on my 07 LBZ. I haven't done a full power pass with it yet but my first impression is very good. The whine is much louder than I expected... which is a good thing unless you are trying to be low key. As always, XDP has the fastest shipping!!!

Will this be a problem with blowing a head gasket. I have a 2005 GMC. Ive already replaced the studs to the ARP

It is highly recommended to run aftermarket headstuds when running the GARRETT 773542-5001S POWERMAX GT4094VA STAGE 2 AVNT TURBOCHARGER. Use of factory head bolts and aggressive tuning may result in damage to the headgaksets.
do you need stronger turbo piping for a this stage 2 turbo on a stock truck?

No, you will not need aftermarket intercooler piping when installing the GARRETT 773542-5001S POWERMAX GT4094VA STAGE 2 AVNT TURBOCHARGER. However, we do recommend installing heavy duty intercooler boots and clamps due to the increase in boost pressure over the factory turbocharger.
Will i need anything extra like gaskets. I have a 2007 duramax with bullydog tunner.
