Found brand new turbocharger through these guys way cheaper than the dealership which I was able to pass the savings on to the customer.

Turbo is not an exact match. Intake housing is thicker on drivers side than original which interferes with high pressure fuel line. Need to bend the line 1/2” to have clearance.

After a rebuild of our LML, we chose the Powermax stage 1 turbo for a "slight upgrade". The result was a less responsive, hesitating, mistake. What I've learned from diesel mechanics in multiple states since, is this turbo sacrifices low-end power for more power at the top-end. So, unless you're doing major mods and tuning, this one's a no-go. More than one specialist i've spoken with, has told me they've had difficulty tuning for this turbo, due to the design of the "hot side" of the turbo. Also, we experienced less than stellar turbo braking on hill descent. To quote one tuner: "I can improve how your truck runs with that turbo, but I'll never get it to where I'd like it." To quote another: "We've always had problems with those turbos" (Then goes on to suggest better options). We're swapping for stock in a few days.
