The HSP LLY Cold Side Intercooler Pipe (For Factory Bridge) from XDP also known as the HSP Cold Side Tube to Factory Bridge is an ideal upgrade for your 2004.5-2005 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY. This cold side tube is perfect for anyone looking to upgrade the factory Chevrolet/GMC parts and use the stock bridge.
The LLY Duramax from the factory has an extremely restrictive charge air system. HSP Diesel quickly realized how much power and potential was being left on the table using the small-diameter factory tubes. While this seemed like the best idea at the time with current technology and understanding of the potential of these vehicles, they were able to tell that the factory LLY system really did need more air.
To start the HSP Cold Side Tube to Factory Bridge is a 3" diameter tube. This is a huge increase compared to the factory parts. They also are very careful when making their bends because they want to make sure that the bends are made in a sweeping style. What the sweeping style does is creates bends that can move air while decreasing the amount of turbulence that is created. HSP Diesel saw that the HSP Cold Side Tube to Factory Bridge will flow up to 53% above what the factory parts are capable of.
