Kleinn HK2-1 Black Dual Truck Horn Kit

The item is a Christmas gift so I have not opened the box to look inside. The shipping, though, was fast and flawless. Arrived quickly and exactly when promised.

Air compressor is loud but not obnoxious which is good. When I bought this I was going to upgrade my tank because half a gallon isn’t much but it gives you a very good amount of time that the horn can be on so I won’t be needing a bigger tank anymore. The plastic line will crack eventually in the cold however they give you a lot of line so it’s not that bad. The horn is loud and works great! It does take a while for the tank to fill up however to get a good blast of air for the horns, ten seconds is definitely enough.

Delivery was on time, kit was packaged well with no damage or missing parts. As a novice auto mechanic, meaning, I know how to change the oil and a tire; the install of the hardware on my 2010 Ram 2500 6.7L Diesel was a bit of a challenge. All my tools are for woodworking so I had to buy some cobalt drill bits to make holes in the hardened steel where I wanted to mount everything. I don't like the fact that the compressor has to be mounted so close to the tank with the provided braided hose. It would be nice if this was redesigned to use the same plastic tubing as from the tank to the horns so the compressor can be mounted inside the cab of the truck to keep it clean and dry since it is the most expensive part of the kit. The compressor is loud and causes lots of vibration. The pressure switch wiring instructions could use some work. I had difficulty understanding how it was intended to be wired but I eventually figured out that one side needs to be grounded while the other side needed to be hooked to an accessory terminal built into the truck or just wired up to a separate switch entirely. I chose to wire the pressure switch to a separate switch entirely because I didn't want the compressor kicking on as soon as I turned the key. As far as volume goes, OH MY GOD! I had no idea these would be as loud as they are. I can now be louder than and piss of my neighbors that keep blasting music into my house every damn day. I look forward to my late nights of getting home from work at 3 or 4 AM and waking them up as easily and obnoxiously as they do everyone else within earshot!
