Description
Upgrade your air intake system with the K&N 57-1525 FIPK Air Intake System to help enhance performance and airflow in your Dodge Ram 2500/3500 with 5.9L diesel. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, and provides an increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom heat shield helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 60 minutes.

Works well does not fit well

I put this on my 95 12v 5 speed truck, that truck is stock besides a turned up afc and a straight pipe, the turbo is much louder and I do notice a smoother acceleration, when I went to instal the new air box I noticed it was hitting the top of the shock stud and wouldn’t allow it to sit where it should, the factory plastic nuts don’t hold the box anything close to snug, they also provide a small bracket to support the air filter against the fender, the hole they provide is much smaller then the bolt they tell you to use and the bracket is about an inch and a half off from lining up, so after cutting the top of the shock off, taking out the inner fender to use nuts and bolts to hold the air box down, making my own bracket to support the filter and replacing a hose clamp with one you actually tighten, it works great, for 330 I would expect alittle better than that
