Description
Upgrade your air intake system with the K&N 57-1525 FIPK Air Intake System to help enhance performance and airflow in your Dodge Ram 2500/3500 with 5.9L diesel. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, and provides an increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom heat shield helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 60 minutes.

I have a 02 Dodge Ram 3500 bought this months ago first time installing and it was easy makes my turbo whistle louder.

I would recommend this product to anyone the performance is better, the mileage goes up a little and best of all the sound you can hear that turbo spooling up. people who don't even know what a diesel is ride with me and that's what i get commented on the most.

I was pretty skeptical about how much this thing could do, and I'm not yet sure if it actually decreases turbo spool up time, or if its just that you hear it earlier, but regardless, in my stock '97 12V, this intake made a noticeable difference in the higher end power, and a slightly noticeable diff. in the lower end power. A little expensive, but it sure works great.

I put the K&N air intake on my 01 Dodge Diesel and you can really hear the turbo and the engine getting more air. It has made my truck run at 200 less rpm's going 70mph. That has got to be at least 2 miles per gallon more. Great purchase!!!!

when i really got on it before i had K&N air filter i would get in red zone of rpms nothing for cummins though..... any way now peaks 3000 rpms. great turbo spool!!! lowered e.g.t.'s! great for my 500 horse cummins

louder turbo spools, quicker turbo spools, and best of all better fuel economy! will not make your truck run lower rpm's

How does this filter do in moderatly dusty conditions?
Our testing has demonstrated that on average, K&N replacement air filters and air intake systems have a cumulative or Full Life filtration efficiency of between 96 and 99%. Different filters test at different efficiencies due to changes in their shape, surface area and relationship to the direction of air flow through the factory air box or test housing.
