The Longhorn Fab 200901-SB Traction Bars are specially built for your 2001-2010 GM Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD Short Bed. Designed as a bolt-on upgrade, these Traction Bars are built using the highest quality hardware and install with just hand tools! Nearly every Duramax has a wheel hop issue right off of the factory floor. Even under stock power levels this wheel hopping can cause extremely costly repairs, including broken driveshafts, broken axle pinion yokes, premature u-joint failure and wearing of suspension components. On top of these issues anytime the wheel hops, it is not touching the pavement. If it is not touching the pavement, you're not getting traction!

After searching and studying different designs I settled on these and have no regrets. Install is straightforward and simple. Looks good to the eye. All grade 8 hardware. I mounted the axle braket first, drove, and re-torqued the u bolts. Installed the bars and preloaded only as tight as I could go by hand. The ride quality didn't suffer but maybe now I won't stretch my u bolts again! Launch from a dead stop is far more aggressive to along with smoother shifts. If your on the fence, don't be! My 6.0 gasser is cammed and supercharged on 35s and traction has always been a problem.

Bad part, hiem joint is loose,about 1/8 inch play and no grease or grease zeros for greasing.

Got my trac bars in quick which was nice. Bad part was they shipped them without wrapping them or putting any protection on them, so instead of getting nice clean black trac bars I got scuffed and scratched up trac bars. Really wasn't happy to see that. Tried writing them a text for support but that's a joke doesn't even work.
