The Best Systems Start with the Best Materials

MBRP's XP Series is the performance exhaust of choice for the enthusiast who needs a system that can take anything that the road throws at it. This system's rugged sixteen gauge T409 construction can be counted on to withstand everything from salt to rocks, tar to grime. We have had such success with this line that we back it with a Lifetime Warranty.

Built to Perform

You count on your truck to tow all of your gear to where you want it. With your MBRP performance exhaust you can make that happen with up to18 HP more horsepower and 28 ft/lb more torque. Give your truck more pulling power and much improved throttle response with an MBRP diesel exhaust system. Our systems are so much more efficient, it will be easy to see what your truck can really do.

Minimize Backpressure

The secret to getting more out of your diesel engine is to give it lots of cool, clean air. The only way that you can get fresh air in is to get the hot air out. From the spiral louvered high flow muffler to the fully mandrel bent tubing to minimal bend degree angles, your MBRP performance system gets exhaust out fast. Drop exhaust gas temperature by up to 200F and set the stage for all the performance you want. An MBRP performance exhaust system is the starting point to getting the most from cold air intakes, programmers, modules and downloaders.

Easy Installation
MBRP systems are as much fun to install as to drive with on your truck. Bolt-on, no weld design makes installing this on your truck a no hassle one and a half to two hour project. Everything is direct fit to the OEM hangers and you get all the clamps and parts you will need, all in one box, no matter what configuration of truck you have.

Sound & Style

Performance is one thing but at MBRP we believe that appearance and sound is just as important. Every MBRP performance exhaust system has been specifically tuned to get the optimal sound from your pickup. With our MBRP brand etched on the tip and our unmistakable styling, there's no question that you have the hottest exhaust on the road - MBRP.

Decent Overall
Location: Michigan
It's a nice looking exhaust that arrived quickly and packaged well. Fit could be better, though. Several of the pipes have flanges that weren't quite the right shape and were dented or bent in a bit, so I had to open them up a bit with a pair of channel locks before the pipes would fit together properly. The tail pipe also will not position properly and hangs down pretty low behind the mud flap. If I wasn't careful, it would nearly contact a curb that I was backing up to. I'm a little disappointed at how quite the exhaust is, as well. I installed it with the MBRP catalytic converter test pipe (I wanted to retain the ability to re-install my catalytic converter) and it is hardly and louder than stock. The turbo is significantly louder, but not the exhaust note. At cold start, it is a bit louder, though this is quickly replaced by a hiss of air out the pipe. On a factory, untuned engine I'm currently running an EGT of 850 degrees fahrenheit. I'm not certain what my temperatures were before hand, as I installed the EGT monitor at the same time. I have been driving the truck with the exhaust long enough to identify a change in fuel mileage, but I will update when if I do.

Product selection was easy with the live chat help. Once they made the recommendation it was easy to purchase. I watched a youtube video on how to install and it was easy-greasy ! Product install was easy, the hardest part was removing the old exhaust system. Exhaust sounds good and I've seen a 3 - 5 mile per gallon increase.

What's the advantages of a 4" exhaust that keeps the stock catalytic converter in the system?
View Staff Answer

The only advantages to retaining your catalytic converter are for those that live in states that require catalytic converters in order to pass DOT inspection. (They system is upgraded from a 3.5” to a 4” exhaust with mandrel bends that allow for a much better flow than factory even though the stock Cat is still in place.)
