McGard 64023 Chrome Bulge Lug Nuts (4-Pack)

My garbage stock lug nuts swelled and I was worried I would get a flat tire and lug wrench wouldn’t fit. I have had these nuts on other trucks I have owned and they worked great. Shipping was super fast. Packaging was great.

I do not know how long these last before showing signs of rust or peeling but will update the review when I find out. These have a "lifetime warranty" but I don't know if it is any good until I need to use it. That said, these stick out a little farther than stock but otherwise look great. These keep the stock hex size for the lug wrench. The factory lug nuts expand underneath the chrome cap and make it difficult to remove the lug nuts when rotating tires or when you get a flat tire. These have no chrome cap so they will not expand, ever. The FORD lug nuts start to expand within 2-3 years (GM lug nuts share the same design with the chrome cap and thus will also expand but seem to last 4-5 years before expanding). XDP had the best price I could find for these lug nuts(I hope it stays that way). I think XDP should add Mcgard P/N: 64012 for customers that also own other Ford vehicles (Escape, focus, etc) because of the stated design flaw of stock lug nuts (expanding under the chrome cap). Lastly, some of the new lug nuts in the kit came with some residual dirt on them that just needed wiped off. At first glance, it looks like rust but it rubs off. My order number was #1510283.
