It’s not a bad alternator, but mean green rates this model at 200 amps. I had mine sent to be bench tested and it ran 160 amps cold and 170 amps hot. Not only is it basically just an ambulance alternator but they overcharge you for basically the same thing just with a different name.

Answer

The MEAN GREEN 1391 HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR will produce approximately 200 amps.

would you have to upgrade wiring size for this alternator? i was wondering what if any supporting modifications i would need for this alternator on my 09 6.7 cummins. I plant to have an audio system in it with a amp that is capable of around 3000 watts rms and possibly later a few led accessories, cubes and maybe a light bar.
