More is better, right? Not necessarily. In the old days of copper brass radiators this was true because the width of the tubes rarely changed. Copper tubes measured about 7/16" (.437") wide and the more rows you have, the better the surface area in contact with the fin and consequently the more heat rejection. Now a days, the U.S. standard for aluminum radiator tubes is a 1.0" wide tube. So your typcial 2-Row aluminum radiator core has a total of 2.0" tube-to fin contact area per row versus 1.7" of a typical 4-row copper unit.
All Mishimoto radiators are made with either two or three rows of high-quality aluminum, which allows all parts of the radiator, including the tanks, to dissipate heat. Also, the cooling fins are designed for maximum heat dissipation. The coolant tubes on Mishimoto radiators have greater surface areas for improved cooling over stock OEM radiators. Additionally, Mishimoto radiators have more coolant capacity than OEM applications.
The Mishimoto Aluminum Performance Radiator MMRAD-RAM-03 is designed as a direct fit of the factory radiator therefore a Flex-a-lite fan will work with this radiator with no problem.
