Description

The Mishimoto MMRC-11-FRD Overflow Reservoir Cap helps the cooling system in your 1999-2016 Ford 7.3L, 6.0L, 6.4L & 6.7L Powerstroke. Getting the most out of your performance parts comes down to the details. When faced with hard driving conditions, a vehicle's cooling system becomes highly pressurized. Factory caps are not equipped to handle long term use and often lose pressure, in turn reducing the potential coolant boiling point and boiling the coolant. The Mishimoto 1.1 Bar Overflow Reservoir Cap will keep coolant where it needs to be, flowing within the system. This cap replaces Ford part# 9C3Z-8101-B or Motorcraft part# RS-527.

Features:
  • Pressure Tolerance: 1.1 Bar / 16 PSI / 110kPa
  • Ergonomically Designed For Easy Installation & Removal
  • Includes Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty

Valve failed after a month.
1
Had it in my truck only a month while the truck actually ran and noticed it wasn't holding pressure and took it off to see the relief valve was stuck sideways or the gasket was in the way either way it wasn't closing so I fixed it and ran for two days then the damn thing split into two pieces losing the valve altogether luckily I had a spare in the truck. Kinda disappointed thinking I was upgrading parts and wasn't. Makes me wonder about the rest of there products. It should be known that I ordered from a different site before I found this one. They are east coast based and I needed a closer company than waiting 5 or more days for parts.
Cap Not Holding 16#

I've only had this cap for 4 months or so now and I just tested it yesterday to find that it is not holding pressure. Not sure if it came that way or if this leak has developed over that short span. Perhaps save a few bucks and go with the XDP cap.
