Description
The PPE 129020107 Transfer Case Brace for your 2001-2007 GM 6.6L Duramax is designed to help eliminate cracked transmission tail shaft housings (located between the transfer case and the transmission). This is a common problem for GM Allison-equipped 4x4 pick-ups in offroad and drag racing situations. Even a normal amount of driveline vibration can cause the housing to fail, resulting in a transmission fluid leak or worse; internal transmission and transfer case damage. Once the housing cracks, repairing it requires removal of the transmission and transfer case.
PPEs new Transmission Transfer Case Brace helps support the overhanging, heavy transfer case by spreading the load up and across the adapter housing to the center section of the transmission. PPEs Transmission Transfer Case Brace utilizes two 304 stainless-steel 7/8 inch support tubes tied together with a thick 304 stainless-steel plate for increased strength and service life. Mounting the brace is a quick and easy job that can be done without removal of the transmission or transfer case. No special tools required..

$135 made out of stainless, can't get one made for that cheap. Whether your boosted launching your truck, sled pulling, or hard accelerating from a stop, I've seen many t-cases grenade and a brace sloves the problem of the sudden torque put though the t-case and spreads it back to the trans, saving the case of the t-case from exploding.

Installed easily. Not sure it will do much to support the transfer case though…. Maybe a little if you’re jumping your truck or something.
