The cupholder works very well, if you have an auto trans and the classic broken 12 valve cup holder this is a must buy. The only downside is the console will not latch any longer after you install this. A piece of velcro could quickly fix this. ORDER #1253402

This was the best priced "alternative" cup holder I could find for my 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. I have had the cup holder for just over 3 months now and am pretty happy with it. It fits well, does what it is supposed to do and looks good. I had read in other reviews that the console lid would not "latch" closed with this installed and I have found that to be correct. However, the console lid stays closed due to gravity, so that is fine. The plastic edges of the mold are a little sharp, but I could easily take care of that with some 100 grit sand paper in two minutes. The only other complaint I would have is that the plastic is a very hard composite and thus makes more noise when putting items in it. All in all, this is a good product, it does what it is supposed to do and I would recommend it. It sure beats paying for a used Dodge OEM cup holder that is sure to break like the original did!
