Great upgrade to your truck , would definitely do it all my future diesel trucks, for monitoring purposes as well as performance upgrades, some decent power with little work, burns rubber easy , the livewire ts is pretty simply to use and download tunes/ updates even for a not so tech savy guy, only issues is the durability of the mount with getting a good seal to your windshield and it always falling off even on calm rides and the OBII port connection doesnt always read when you fire up your truck and has to be unplugged and plugged back in acouple of times in order to get your live wire to turn on, Other then those minor issues i love this product.

Old SuperDuty was running like crap. Sick. No power, no acceleration. Turbo shot? Variable vanes stuck? Injectors bad? I thought maybe all the above. Thought I would try the SCT, and to my amazement (I'm really skeptical on this crap), the old Ford ran better than new on the "Street" tune and even better on the "Performance" tune. No way I would have thought I would get this kind of kick. I had ordered a new turbo, but not am thinking I really don't need it. Really, I would say to anyone out there running a 6.0, get this tuner! It cured my sick SuperDuty. My only complaint is that the PC software didn't execute the online update...

Yes, The Ford 6.0L’s feature:

Jake Brake

Used as an exhaust brake to increase engine braking while coasting towing heavier loads. Helps lower brake temperatures.

Locked at CT

Keeps the torque converter locked during deceleration to aid in engine braking. This is less aggressive than the Jake Brake file so it may be ideal for smaller loads. It can be used in conjunction with the Jake Brake as well.

Lock in 1-2-3

Locks the converter in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Aids in engine breaking, increases fuel economy, and can be used for drag racing as well.

Aggressive Tow Haul

Gives a more aggressive shift schedule helping keep the engine in its power band longer while towing. This will also aid in engine braking as well.

Speed Limiter

Allows you to Remove, Increase or Decrease the vehicles speed limiter.

Idle Speed

Allows you to Increase or Decrease the vehicles idle speed.

WOT Shift Points by Gear

Allows you to Increase or Decrease the Wide Open Throttle Shift points of each gear individually.

Shift Firmness Control

Allows you to change the transmissions shift pressure. Controls how firm the shifts will feel. * Vehicles with Automatic Transmissions ONLY

Axle Ratio

Yes, the SCT 5015 will have a list of parameters that are preloaded on your device. (Boost, Engine Temp, Oil Temp, Etc.)

What tunes come with it when bought?

Diesel Engine: SCT offers a few tunes based on what you’re going to be doing with your truck. (HP levels may vary depending on the application.)

Tow: Should be used when towing any significant load. Shifting is towing centered (50-65HP)

Street: Less power than Performance. Moderate gain over stock, safe for light towing under 5k lbs (50-85HP)

Performance: The most aggressive preloaded diesel tune. Good for everyday use, racing, economy but not recommended for any type of towing. (88-120HP)

Does this tuner have to stay plugged up to the OBD2 port to operate?

Not at all, you can disconnect the display from the OBD2 port at any time and the installed tuning will keep as normal. (The unit must be plugged in to change tunes or monitor gauges.
