The Titan 7020299 51 Gallon Mid-Ship Replacement Fuel Tank for your 1999-2007 Ford F-250/350/450 7.3L / 6.0L Powerstroke Crew Cab, Short Bed Pickup provides you with additional fuel capacity for peace of mind whether driving down the highway or through remote rural areas. The increased capacity also gives you the ability to shop for lower fuel prices without having to fill-up every time you pass a fuel station.
Most stock (or original equipment) tanks are relatively thin and made of materials like Linear Polyethylene. TITAN Fuel Tanks are made of corrosion-proof, High-Density Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLHDPE), which is bonded molecularly. Also, the nominal thickness of all TITAN Tanks is ¼ of an inch.
TITAN Fuel Tanks utilize common sense design features, which simplify installation. They reuse most of the stock components, including the existing sending unit. The tank itself is nearly indestructible, but light enough to be hefted by one or two people. While a vehicle hoist and transmission jack are ideal, hand tools will get the job done. Lifetime warranty on tank body.

Overall perfect fit for not having to modify anything but install took a lot longer than expected.. the front bracket did not want to fit all the way so a Jack was necessary for the install.

I have been wanting this tank for a long time and when I needed to replace my sending unit it was the perfect opportunity. I do recommend buying a new fuel filler neck as your old one is crusty and a pain to remove without damage and reinstall without damage. It was possible though and it did seal up. I had to shorten the vent hose on mine, your results might vary. With a new OEM sending unit it took me 10 gallons to get up to Empty, 18 gallons to 1/4 tank, 28 gallons to 3/4 tank and 40 gallons was 7/8 tank. Full load turned out to be 53 gallons. This gives me about 730 miles range with another 170 mile reserve unloaded. I used the truck for towing 1200 miles yesterday and I stopped to fill up when I needed to stop (not when the truck needed fuel). This is a must-have addition to your pickup.

The fuel tank it's self is awesome. Fit very nice well designed,No problems with tank at all. The directions how ever where fair to poor. alot of mistakes in the directions. They need to rewrite directions at least the ones for the 2008 ford powerstroke.

Will the over sized tank from a 06 F-350 fit 2014 F-350?

The Oversized tank from a 06 F-350 6.0L will not fit the 2014 F-350 6.7L. The Titan Replacement Ford Diesel Fuel Tank for the 2014 F350 6.7L are TFT7020211 (11-14 CCSB - 50GAL) or TFT7020311 (11-14 CCLB – 65GAL).
Will the factory fuel gauge read correctly? Will miles to empty be correct? If not can the computer be reprogramm 2014- F-250 lariat crew cab short bed diesel

Your analog fuel gauge will work the same with the TITAN Fuel Tank as it did with your original stock equipment tank. Titan does offer a re-programming of the dashboard system that will allow for accurate reading of you miles till empty. Only for the 11-14 Ford 6.7L trucks.
