Description

Plug in more power on your 1995-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke with the TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip. The TS Performance 6 Position Chip offers more power at the rear wheels than any other chip or downloader on the market. You can adjust between the 6 settings while driving by simply turning the included knob mounted on the dash. No need to pull over and download a different setting while the competition passes you by.

On automatic models, The TS Performance Chip not only increases horsepower and torque, it also firms up the shift points in your transmission. The firmer shifting will allow your truck to "slip" into gear and not "bang" into gear. The TS Chips are easy and simple to install using the included instructions.  The chip simply slides into your computer for a secure fit, no tape necessary.

Each chip includes a switch and 6 pre-programmed settings: Stock, High Idle, 50HP, 75HP, 100HP, 140+ Extreme for most applications. See part number list below for special California and Van applications that exclude 140+ Extreme and High Idle settings. In this instance the chip will come with 4 or 5 settings. If you have more questions about these few applications, please contact our Performance Specialists at 1-888-DIESEL-4 (1-888-343-7354).

Features:
  • 6 Positions
  • Lifetime Warranty

  • 1 - Stock
  • 2 - High Idle
  • 3 - 50HP

Note: Power levels and High Idle feature may differ depending on PCM code for special models such as Vans and California Emissions.
Box Codes: TS Performance makes it easy to purchase the correct chip for your Ford by using the model year and transmission of your truck. If you would like to verify your Box Code, you can locate it using the following information. There will be a large 4 Digit Code that is 3 letters and 1 number on your ECU. These ECU Codes identify what ECU is in your truck, and they come in Box Code groups with the same letters but may have a different number. For example, there might be NVK2 and NVK4 that have different ECM codes but share the same tunes and have the same Box Code.

California Emissions:
California Emissions trucks can be found throughout the U.S. If you have a California emissions vehicle or are unsure if you have a California emissions vehicle, please call and speak with our Performance Specialists at 1-888-DIESEL-4 with your PCM code so we can provide you with the proper chip for your truck.

Lifetime Warranty:
The TS Performance 7.3L Powerstroke Chip is covered by a lifetime warranty offered through TS Performance. Warranty claims on chips that are "fried" due to improper installation or removal will not be covered.

I installed the 6- position chip it’s not all that great. Shifting in all positions are rough(slams into gears) so it didn’t help much with the way it shifts. 140 setting is terrible makes it run rough and not much power like the 75 and 100. If it made it shift better I would’ve left a better review. Other than that it woke the truck up with some power. Installation is plain and simple only takes about 30 minutes

The TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip will only work on Ford Powerstroke 7.3L applications.

TS performance does offer a Medium Duty Series device for the 1992-2003 DT444 7.3L engines. The product offers 0-30% HP gains (item # TSP2110103). For more information on this item call us at 1-888-DIESEL-4 and ask about this item #.

TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip Install: NOTE: The factory speed limiter has been raised! It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that the tires have proper speed rating. Read and fully understand all instructions before attempting to install the TS Performance Chip

1. Remove the keys from the ignition and disconnect both batteries. Failure to do so may cause damage to the computer and chip
2. Locate the factory computer inside the cab. On 99-03 Trucks the computer is located beside the emergency brake bracket. On 95-97 trucks the computer is located behind the emergency brake bracket. To remove the bracket remove the (3) 13mm nuts from the bracket. For 95-97 trucks skip to step #7.
3. On the 99-03 trucks you must now locate the wiring harness on the fire wall in the engine compartment that goes to the factory computer. It is the harness closest to the fender and has a 10mm bolt holding it to the computer. Remove the 10mm bolt and slide the connection out of the firewall.
4. Go back inside the cab and remove the (2) 7mm bolts holding the computer in place. If your truck is a manual, remove the 10mm nut from the bottom of the bracket holding the computer and the 10mm bolt holding the top.
5. Once you have the computer loose, slide the computer and bracket out slowly.
6. Remove the computer from the plastic housing and remove the cap to expose the terminals
7. The terminals are coated in a rubberized protective coating. Use the supplied Scotch Brite Pad and Lacquer thinner to remove the coating. You will also need to use a small flat head screw driver to scrape the terminals. Repeat this process 2-3 times to make sure you get a clean connection. Remember 95% of problems with the chip are due to insufficient cleaning of the connection. 8. Once you feel the connections are good and clean, place the chip on to the terminals. If you purchased a multi-position chip you will need to plug the switch into the chip first.
9. Now slide the computer back into the plastic housing with the side of the computer with an “X” positioned toward the fender. Replace the bolts you removed earlier holding the computer in place.
10. Now reattach the wiring harness going through the firewall and tighten the 10mm bolt.
11. Reconnect the batteries and start the truck.
12. If the truck fails to start, remove the computer again and try cleaning the terminals again. If you have any questions feel free to call XDP (1-888-DIESEL-4) or TS Performance at 270-746-9999.
Does the TS 6 position switch come with an economy setting? For long freeway drives...
View Staff Answer
Answer
The TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip do not come with a specific “economy” tune, but the 50HP & 75HP settings often yields the best fuel economy depending on your driving habbits.
What tune on the TS 6 position chip is safe for light towing and what tune is safe for heavy towing?
View Staff Answer
Answer

The 50HP tune can be used as a (Heavy Tow) for loads over 5,000LB & the 75HP tune can be used as a (Light Tow) for loads under 5,000LB. We recommend monitoring your EGT’s to be sure you’re in the best possibly range. If everything is working properly, 1250º to 1300º F. is a safe turbine inlet temperature, even for sustained running, mile after mile. Above 1300º F. things can start to get edgy.
