The Valair Heavy Duty Upgrade Clutch NMU70G56-01 for your 2005.5-2018 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L Diesel is better than the OEM clutch you get from your dealer. This is due to the better quality of materials used, the quality of the manufacturing process, and QC. Some companies also offer higher plate loads as options to the standard plate thus giving the clutch better holding ability than its OE counterpart. This clutch is best suited to trucks without or only minor power modifications and is great for light towing at stock HP levels. For use on G56 6-Speed Transmissions.

G56 Gear Rollover Facts:
When converting a G56 transmission over to a solid mass flywheel vs. dual mass flywheel, gear rollover is inevitable. Gear rollover noise is often heard when the vehicle is idling or under a load in low RPM ranges (often referred to as sounding like marbles in the transmission). This is completely normal.
Gear rollover noise is caused by reverse engine spike and can in most cases be drastically reduced by simply changing the oil in the transmission or reducing engine spike produced by inadequate engine components (ex. misfiring injector, FCA problems, Electronic programming). The oil recommended by the transmission manufacture Mercedes-Benz is Mobil Delvac Synthetic Transmission Fluid 50. Valair Inc. recommend draining completely and refilling with 7 quarts. Only 6 quarts will fit when utilizing the fill hole, the final quart will need to be filled through the shift tower.

Great clutch so far. Did not install the hydraulics because I had just replaced mine and didn’t want to use the one that comes with it. Very please with the performance of this clutch though.
