Description

 The Valair QG56DDSN Quiet Street Dual Disc Clutch for your 2005.5-2018 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L Diesel offers more holding power and a wider range of use over a single disc clutch, while retaining similar driving characteristics. With a 3800lb diaphragm style pressure plate quick shifts are still possible while pedal pressure will be just over stock.

Ceramic
The Ceramic Street Dual Disc is best suited for daily driven trucks that have performance modifications up to 650HP that do see some racing or hard use. Light towing is possible; clutch engagement will be somewhat aggressive but tolerable.

Quiet
This clutch has proven in testing to be the answer to the center plate noise that our customers have been asking for. The drive straps installed from the floater plate to the flywheel will eliminate rattle when the clutch pedal is pressed in. This clutch requires extra care during the installation to ensure that the drive straps are properly installed.

G56 Gear Rollover Facts:
When converting a G56 transmission over to a solid mass flywheel vs. dual mass flywheel, gear rollover is inevitable. Gear rollover noise is often heard when the vehicle is idling or under a load in low RPM ranges (often referred to as sounding like marbles in the transmission). This is completely normal.

Gear rollover noise is caused by reverse engine spike and can in most cases be drastically reduced by simply changing the oil in the transmission or reducing engine spike produced by inadequate engine components (ex. misfiring injector, FCA problems, Electronic programming). The oil recommended by the transmission manufacture Mercedes-Benz is Mobil Delvac Synthetic Transmission Fluid 50. We at Valair Inc. recommend draining completely and refilling with 7 quarts. Only 6 quarts will fit when utilizing the fill hole, the final quart will need to be filled through the shift tower.

Great clutch
4
Clutch is awesome. Truck is tuned right around 550-600hp the clutch pulls well and hasn’t slipped. Not as quiet as I was expecting but still quieter than your traditional dual disk clutch. It is also more aggressive than I was expecting. I put about 35k miles on my stick one and became pretty use to it. When I swapped to the Valair ceramic clutch I almost had to re-learn clutch pressure and friction zone. That would be the only reason why I would t give this product 5 stars. It is definitely a solid clutch I’ve put about 2,800 miles of towing on it and it holds up nicely. I would recommend this product to someone else just prepare yourself or a more aggressive clutch than the product description leads you to believe.
