Walker 210-1015 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor

Swap out the failed intake air temp sensor in your 1991-1996 Dodge 5.9L Diesel with a Walker 210-1015 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor from XDP. The air temperature sensor is used by the PCM to determine the temperature and density of air entering the engine. The PCM then uses this information to determine fuel injector control and other outputs. The ACT sensor is often found in the air intake boot, in the air cleaner housing, or intake manifold.

These sensors can eventually fail due to simple wear and tear. The sensor connector and wiring harness can also lose connectivity over time. Exposure to excessive moisture can erode the sensor internally, causing erratic readings. Also, the accumulation of oil and carbon can cause failure on the ACT.
