Not just a dress-up part, XDP’s Oil Filter Cap features a durable aluminum construction, and is a direct replacement for the factory cap that becomes damaged and brittle with age.

Application Note:
This cap will only fit with OEM replacement oil filters that fit the STOCK oil cap. The XDP cap was designed to be used with the OEM style filter. There are aftermarket filters on the market which include new caps and they are not the same sizes as the OEM filter and caps.
Note: This cap does NOT include an O-ring. It is recommended that this cap is replaced during a filter change as most filters will include a new O-ring.

Very nice product and the same price as a plastic pen cap.
Exactly what I needed and no leaks

Purchased this at the Las Vegas XDP location, and installed it the following day. Was worried about the previous reviews of the 1/8" NPT plug leaking, but I needed it for the installation of the oil pressure gauge. So, I added some additional Teflon tape to the threads of the sensor, and tighten the sensor onto the cap until it wouldn't turn anymore. Started up the truck and watched for leaks for 15 minutes, and there was nothing. Very happy with the design and quality of the cap. Used a 36mm deep socket, to install the oil cap to the housing. Oil cap installed on a 6.0 Diesel Excursion.
The Plug leaks

It comes with the plug installed and has thread tape on it, but the plug is not tight and doesn't get tight. I had to source another plug for it to seal after it began to leak during the initial start up.

Let me start by saying I love the cap. So much better then the plastic factory junk. However... After doing a complete degrease and repaint of the tip end I swapped this cap for the factory one. As soon as I started the excursion the plug in the middle sprayed oil all over the top end and underside of the hood. So... I swapped the plastic one back for now and started the clean up all over again.
