The XDP HD Intercooler Pipe - Direct-Fit XD458 will replace the problematic stock pipe and increase the reliability of your 2011-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke. The plastic factory intercooler pipe is a component that is prone to failure on your Super Duty. The factory intercooler pipe won't just fail peacefully on startup or anywhere where it’s convenient. It will break apart by bursting under the power of your engine when towing a heavy load or towing your camper up a steep grade in the middle of nowhere.
The XDP HD Intercooler Pipe - Direct-Fit XD458 is the same design, fit, and size of the factory component, but constructed out of durable steel with reinforced silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps. As a result, you end up with a component that can withstand the heat, pressure, and output of your Powerstroke engine for years to come. This pipe includes the O-ring and has a factory-style connector that snaps right into the OEM location of your F-250/350/450/550. This means no modifications need to be done during the installation process.

Great product if you are looking to upgrade your stock tube. All metal tubing replaced the stock rubber tube. The retaining clip on the turbo side is weak and I had to use the factory one to get it to hold. So far it has held up good and fixed my previous issue.

I ordered two and both will not seal. Don’t know if it’s bad o-rings or just a bad part. Two different trucks same problem on both.

Overall very happy with the look and fitment of this piece. I did reuse the factory retaining clip as the one with the kit was pretty flimsy and didn't spring back like it should, Also the clamps were just a little on the snug side with trying to get everything lined up but overall an awesome piece and great stock replacement option.
