The Colt Cams Bolt-On Cam Gear Retainer is designed to keep the camshaft gear from walking off the crankshaft. This is a must have upgrade for any 12V and 24V Cummins. The Cam Gear Retainer can also be used on the 03+ Common Rail engine but is not required. If used on the Common Rail, the front cover must be modified for additional clearance. The Colt Cams C.1014.S Street/Strip Camshaft is high-performance "drop-in" replacement for your 01-10 GM 6.6L Duramax. Constructed from a brand new billet, this camshaft comes pre-machined with a new keyway and key. This eliminates the weak factory dowel pin which has been known to shear allowing the cam gear to slip, and sometimes even cause catastrophic engine damage. The Street/Strip cam requires no valve relief and drastically improves throttle response, bottom end, mid-range power, spool-up, and overall driveability. The Colt Cams C.849.H Stage 2 Camshaft is a drop-in replacement for your 2003-2010 Ford 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke engine. When the 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke engines were build, they were designed with heavy emissions controls in mind. Because of this, the factory camshaft is not designed to take full advantage of the airflow that the cylinder heads can produce. They are designed to reduce emissions by keeping some exhaust gas in the cylinders. This is one of the reasons it is so hard to spool up a non-vgt turbo on your Power Stroke. Colt Cams has worked with numerous performance shops over the years to perfect a suitable upgrade that not only performs better, but is reliable. These cams will help reduce EGT's (by getting the exhaust out of the cylinder and new air in), improve horsepower, improve the engine's performance throughout the entire rpm range (yes, you guessed it, by getting the exhaust out of the cylinder and new air in!) and can support up to 5,000 rpms. The Stage 2 camshaft is designed to take advantage of the lost opportunities the factory cam didn't seize. This NEW BILLET is a straight drop in camshaft with no modifications needed. It offers a smoother idle, quicker spool up (most noticeable with a non-VGT turbo), lower egt's and better torque and horsepower. Many report a slight fuel economy improvement as well! This camshaft was designed with durability in mind. This cam is a great option from your standard work truck, to those hauling loads daily, and even for your weekend warrior. The Colt Cams Stage 3 "Big Stick" Cummins Camshaft gives you excellent performance, driveability, and is the most popular Cummins Camshaft in the Colt Cams lineup. Colt has worked long and hard on their camshaft profiles and has dyno'd over 50 different combination to give you the ultimate camshaft. Stage 3: Nicknamed the "Big Stick", this cam has gained the most popularity. Delivering the strongest mid-range torque and H.P. possible it still has good bottom end and drivability. No mods are required but a set of springs is recommended. The secret to the outstanding performance of these cams is their ramp velocity and acceleration.
