Excess heat is the #1 killer of transmissions. For individuals who tow, race or simply run their diesel hard, know that proper cooling of your transmission fluid is one of the most important things that you can do to increase the life of your transmission.
PPE’s Performance Transmission Cooler is a bolt-on replacement part that lowers the fluid temperatures up to an additional 20 to 30 degrees over the stock unit. When the mainline pressure is increased with things, such as a high performance transmission kit, you end up with additional heat being generated, so we recommend a Performance Transmission Cooler in such applications. 01-05 cooler shown above, see additional pictures for connector details and 06-10 cooler.
- Increased surface area provides 60% more heat rejection
- Installation takes approximately 30 minutes

This cooler is amazing if you are going to be towing!! Before I was pushing 280 degrees pulling a 25' boat up the hills. I already had the Hytec pan, but it only works with higher speeds for air flow. Now with this trans cooler, I got up to 220 degrees. What a huge difference. Not only did the trans stay cool, but it also performed great as I was shifting. Thanks PPE for helping me enjoy my drive and not having to worry about trans problems.

This trans cooler did cool the truck during towing and normal operations by 20-30 degrees. The customer was extremely happy with the result. Easy installation and great product so far.

Great for mild build

This cooler did exactly as described. Lowered my trans temps 20-30 degrees. Perfect for a mildly modded truck, or tow rig and was super easy to install and required no cutting or modifying. Only downside is it sits really close to the factory grill, so adding an auxiliary fan isn't possible
