Description
Replace the troublesome factory drain plug in your HFCM (Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module) with the Ford HFCM Water Separator Drain Plug Upgrade 6E7Z-9C082-A. Over time the factory plug becomes corroded and is often stripped when being removed for routine maintenance. In addition, the factory plug causes fuel to spill directly onto the driveshaft and onto the ground. This OE Ford Upgrade helps to eliminate both these issues with its large non-slip grooves, and dual purpose long retainer which keeps the plug from falling out, and wicks the draining water and fuel down and away from the front drive shaft.

Great cheap upgrade for a 2006 6.0 diesel.
I was having a "water in fuel" warning all the time after getting some fuel off a contractor I was working for. Change filters regularly since the 6.0 really doesn't like water. This plug is fast and easy too use when on the road. Fit and finish are of quality, very pleased. Shipping was super fast as well.

Should have bought this the day I bought my truck back in 2011. I like how this piece stays in while draining as well, just screw it back in when you are done. No tools required. It’s a beautiful little part, hate no one will see it, haha.

Yes it will. The HFCM Water Separator Drain Plug Upgrade 6E7Z-9C082-A is actually a FORD OEM part that is used to replace the old style HFCM drain plug on all of the 03-07 Ford 6.0L’s.

Unfortunately, XDP does not offer a replacement O-ring for the HFCM Water Separator Drain Plug. With that being said, the O-ring is not specific to the plug and is a common #111 Viton O-ring that can be sourced from a number of distributors.
