I bought this clutch 9/15 with the intent of future power mods. But didn't realize how loud the gear clatter is coming from the tranny! Clutch applied and idling it is embarrassing the noises that transmit through the clutch into the trans! Also another thing to be aware of is with this clutch it was almost impossible to get into gear at a stop! The positive was XDP and Vallair were very helpful in trying to diag these issues but the gear clatter I would've had to just deal with it. While talking with both XDP and Vallair support we decided to put in a stock disc. Same pressure plate, flywheel, pilot bearing, and throwout bearing. All we changed was the disc itself to vallairs stock design snd after doing that I had no more gear clatter and the truck shifts perfect! I want to be clear here that I'm not trying to bash anyone just trying to make the next guy be aware on some of the characteristics of this clutch. Also my truck has 250k on it so that might of came to play here. I am very happy with the stock Vallair and support on trying to get this straightened out. But I gave 2 stars because of the fact of the gear clatter and having to pull the trans back out a second time. Hope this helps someone from some headaches later.
