The AFE 21-90058 Magnum Flow Pro Dry S Replacement Air Filter or your diesel pickup is designed as a universal high-flow alternative to the popular paper disposable BHAF (Big Honkin' Air Filter) commonly used in the 1994-2002 Dodge 5.9L Diesel and many other universal applications. Testing shows that this filter outlflowed the BHAF by up to 19%. Unlike the paper versions these filters are washable and re-usable for multiple cleaning cycles.
Pro DRY S Media:
This filter features "Oil-Free" 3-Layers Of Progressively Finer Porosity Synthetic Media For Maximum Convenience With Excellent Filtration Efficiency. The progressive layering of media allows the filter to flow at high levels even when dirty. The ProDRY S filter media has been tested at 99.27 percent filtration efficiency.
Massive Washable/Reuseable Filter:
With 8-1/2" Base x 8-1/2" Top x 11" Height with a 4" flange, this filter is a direct replacement for the popular Donaldson paper filter P/N: ECB085011). Rather than throwing the filter away, you can now wash the filter and reuse it over and over again. Since this filter is oil-free, servicing no longer requires through drying and re-oiling.
Rounded Open Pleats:
aFe performance air filters use a rounded, evenly spaced pleat design which produces more useable filter surface area for increased flow and greater dust holding capacity. Pleats are 30% taller that the paper alternative.
100% Polyurethane Construction:
To allow multiple cleaning cycles, the top and base are made of 100% pliable polyurethane that does not deteriorate with time or exposure to heat and chemicals.

Firstly, it lives up to its name of Big Honkin Air Filter. Lol it's massive. I have an 02 Ram 2500 5.9 that's basically stock. A grandpa truck if you will. This sicker brought out the whistleeeee let me tell you! It's awesome to hear. I'm still hoping to see a boost in performance even just a little. The computer may still be trying to catch up, but even if it doesnt change much else - it's obvious it's getting better air flow and the sound is amazing so I can live with that. Love it either way!

Great air filter with very easy install. The stock tube fits right onto the filter with no trouble. The silencer ring was removed from my truck before I bought it and with this filter you can really hear the turbo.
