Description
The Banks Power 25936 Boost Tube Upgrade Kit will enhance the airflow going into the engine of your 2004.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY/LBZ/LMM. This intercooler pipe will help the turbo spool up faster and lower temperatures exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) as this tube has a 60% greater flow area than the factory tube. Manufactured from high-quality aluminized steel, this intercooler tube is mandrel-bent to ensure a constant diameter. A better-flowing charge air pipe improves the retention of boost pressure (increases air density) between the turbo, intercooler, and intake which helps to provide maximum horsepower. To improve grip and ensure that the 5-ply heavy-duty high-temperature silicone coupler holds tight under high-boost conditions, the red powder-coat finish stops before the tube's end. The spring-loaded constant tension clamp provides a strong grip to prevent boost leaks or blown boots. This boost can be used with an aftermarket intercooler that has the same dimensions for the inlet & outlet and the same location as the stock intercooler.

Should have done more research... kit only comes with the upper silicone hose and 1 clamp, not the lower. After looking into other kits, found that the HSP kit comes with both hoses and clamps for a couple dollars more. I tried to exchange it for HSP kit but it was going to cost $100 to ship back to XDP and a 5% restock fee, so I guess I will keep the pipe and find a hose and clamps to make it work. Factory bottom hose is permanently clamped to stock pipe so a new hoses and clamps are needed. Probably my own fault for not paying attention to what I was buying but it for sure is an incomplete kit.

Got this tube along with the banks technicooler intercooler. Temps are down across the board. Spools faster. Sounds better. 2-3 more lbs of boost. I believe it flows more air through the fins as well because my Coolant temps are down as well. Not sure what gains come from the tube and the cooler, buy both and you won’t have to wonder. Fit and finish 5 star, Have completed my test run up a 9 percent grade at 5200 feet Have not seen appreciable lower EGT as stated Save your money and install a better intercooler Hot pipes just do not cut it with stock Equipment .Sorry to tell it like it is

Wanted to do something simple to my LMM, that didn't cost a fortune. Figured this boost tube would be a good upgrade. Have to say I was very impressed. From the box it arrived in (cradled up in the box like a new born baby), to the ease of installation, you couldn't ask for a better, more simple project. Loosen the clamps, pull the old pipe out, install the new boot and associated clamp, slide the tube into place, torque the clamps... Just that easy. Even the paint finish on the tube was top notch. For anyone looking for a simple upgrade they can do in 30 minutes or less, this is it! (LMM only, your results may vary...)

was really easy to get stock pipe out and install this one, however if you buy this you might need to purchase another clamp. 2 of the 4 clamps on my intercooler were just solid clamps that will not come off without a cutting wheel. do yourself a favor and check ahead of time so you can get the right clamp
