XDP carries the Stanadyne Performance Formula 38565 All Season Fuel Additive that is a superior, year-round diesel fuel additive engineered to handle most diesel fuel problems. This fuel additive does not contain any alcohol and helps to stabilize fuel by preventing gumming cause by oxidation. Corrosion inhibitors in this additive protect the entire fuel system from rust and while the lubricity improvers reduce wear. Gains of up to 9.6% and a average of 4% has been shown in independent testing with this additive. This additive comes with a cetane improver to enhance combustion and improves diesel pour point in cold weather.

I bought this product because if you search for the highest rated it was first. I ordered it at about 11. Next day was my day off so as i'm at home, UPS shows up and hands me my package. Will this specifically take care of gelling during very cold weather? If not, what is availble for the gelling problem?
The Stanadyne performance formula fuel additive’s cold weather protection will reduce diesel fuel pour point up to 40°f (22°c), and cold filter plug point by up to 25°f (13°c). (Depending on base fuel).

What happens to the Stanadyne additive if it is stored below freezing? Should I get rid of it? I left the bottle in my truck and the temperature got down to around zero. I don't want to use it if it will cause a problem.
Stanadyne fuel additives will freeze in their concentrated form but not once they are added to the diesel fuel. The additive can be used as long as it is not frozen. If you see that the additive has frozen, bring the additive indoors to return to its normal properties before using.
How often should I use Stanadyne diesel fuel additive?
Stanadyne diesel fuel additive is typically recommended for use with every fill-up, or at least every few tanks, to help maintain peak fuel system performance and prevent potential problems. Recommended treatment is 4 ounces of performance formula per 15 gallons of fuel. A common guideline is to add one 8-ounce bottle for each full tank of diesel fuel (depending on the size of your tank).
