I actually tested this product with thermoworks probes that I use for cooking. Definitely able to block radiant heat as advertised. I purchased this product because when I bought new batteries, the shop that installed them threw my stock covers away. The hardest part of the install was lifting the batteries out because I am traveling and do not have a stand to get up on. I have a 2018 Ram 3500 and elected not to use the separate mat that you can set the batteries on. Also, these kits do not cover the top and only have enough material to wrap 1 battery around the sides per kit. You'd need to order more material or just get two kits if you want to completely wrap them. That would be a total of 4 kits for a complete wrap on two batteries, though I am sure there are more cost effective ways to go about this. Order #1743691
