Description
Enhance the shifting and performance characteristics of the Allison 6-speed transmission in your 2006-2010 GM 2500HD/3500HD truck with an Allison 1000, 2000, and 2400 series transmission. This TransGo Shift Kit includes the valve body components you need to provide substantial gains in friction plate durability.
Once installed, the friction torque capacity of the holding clutches and brakes in 2nd through 6th gear is increased by approximately 100% when the lock-up clutch is off at max line pressure. Because you do not need to remove the transmission for installation, this kit is highly recommended to prevent internal transmission damage when horsepower is increased.
Corrects/Prevents/Reduces:

Worked amazing! Was super scary to do but wasn't bad at all, just take your time. Did my dad's right after, both zero issues! Do a trans re-learn after and it fixed all the chattering and weird shift issues.

It takes a couple of hours to do overall but I used it as an excuse to change the internal filter and run transynd fluid. I did this and a lift pump at the same time right after I got tunes put on the truck and the combination of the 2 made the high tune feel like it wasn't going to destroy the truck. The shifting afterward is like butter compared to what it was previously and figured the price would be a worthwhile upgrade until I start pushing more hp and need to do a rebuild of the trans and engine. I have had this installed now for 2.5 months so far everything has been great and after the trans relearn it holds gears like I want and shifts when it feels like it should consistently without any defueling or slipping between shifts 2006 LBZ. order #1752993

Install took about 3hrs and wasn't hard, just take your time and torque everything to spec. Shifting isn't much different under normal driving. Feels pretty solid under load. Just gives me peace of mind knowing there's more pressure on the clutches. Order #1382384.
