Description
The AFE 44-LF001 Pro-Guard D2 Oil Filter for your 2001-2019 GM 6.6L Duramax is the next generation in oil filter technology. This oil filter is constructed with extreme conditions in mind. A heavy duty 600lb. burst strength canister wrapped in a matte black finish. The inside of the filter uses a NF21 synthetic composite material which provide maximum engine protection with minimal flow restriction. Heavy duty coil spring, wire backed media, center tube and .100 thick base plate provides maximum strength. The Pro-Guard D2 Oil Filter outflows and has a high filter efficiency than all other oil filters on the market today.

Just looking forward to keeping my Silverado diesel in good shape although I haven't had a chance or reason to install the extra protect filter in my Allison because of the shelter in place.

XDP never lets me down. Will keep checking the oil color over time but the Rotella hasn't gone completely back yet.

In my 13' LML, I used to only use Fram Ultraguard filters, then Mobil1, then K&N, but they always started to leak a bit after 3-4K miles. These AFE filters are great. I've done 3 oil changes with these filters and I've been amazed at the fact I never get that small drop of oil on the bottom of the filter. Plus my oil seems so much cleaner. I use Champions Blue Flame 15w40 SynBlend and when I go to change the oil, it still has a small amount of blue tint to the oil. Rotella would be blacker than black when the oil would be changed and it would be somewhat thick when combined with those other filters. The Blue Flame paired with this AFE filter leaves the oil smooth and clean.
