Description

The BladeRunner intake manifold represents the next generation in intake manifold design.  The BladeRunner intake manifold uses a unique MDV (Multiple Directional Vane) technology to guide the air through the manifold maximizing air flow.   Constructed out of cast A356-T6 aluminum and uses a proprietary internal bolt design to help increase the flow and provide a solid seal void of leaks or deformaties. the BladeRunner comes with up to 5 ports for nitrous injections, gauges and other accessories used by hardcore enthusiasts.  In recent testing the BladeRunner intake manifold outflowed the factory intake by 32.9% and produced 17hp and 50lbs. x ft torque at 1975rpm. This intake is specifically designed to provide increased intake volume and velocity.

Stock Disadvantage

Stock intake manifolds have sharp bends and corners. Air flows around these corners and zones of dead air created. These dead air zones choke down air and restrict airflow to your engine.

The MDV Advantage

Our MDV technology uses smooth bends and directional vanes to form multiple air paths through the manifold. These new paths are smoother and shorter, producing much smaller dead air zones for increased overall airflow to the engine.

Good but not Great

This installed in about an hour and appears to operate as expected but the fit and finish is not good. The paint on the unit is not even and the casting has a lot of roughness inside and out. I've read about their lack of quality control in manufacturing but it has been more on their exhaust manifold for the Cummins. This intake is the same. Their perch for the oil dipstick is the wrong angle too. You must bend the tab on the dipstick to make the bolt start threading. The performance does appear to be there but if you want a good look to the engine compartment, buy another brand.

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins, just installed the intake manifold. Pretty cut and dry install the worksheet they give you has bad pictures, but start to end time was 30 minutes. Took it out for a test drive after and the turbo was a lot louder, more of a whistle sound. The turbo spooled faster and throttle response was increased noticeably. Also did a rough fuel economy test before the intake manifold i averaged 17/ 23 now after the intake 18/ 25.Product looks great and had no machining errors like other have said. If you want better fuel economy and better throttle response, and class up the engine compartment this is the intake for you.
