Description
Purchase the Bilstein 24-186742 5100 Series Shock Absorbers are high gas pressure monotube shocks designed specifically for lifted pickups, SUVs and Jeeps. The shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for heavy hauling or occasional off-road use, while maintaining an exceptional street ride.

Very impressed at how much better the ride quality felt after initial install.
The reason I’m only giving three stars is because a week after install, they started feeling just as bad as the old worn out stock shocks. Unfortunately for me I am outside of the return window, so not much I can do.
Regardless of my issues, I would still recommend these shocks.

Very impressed with the ride quality and construction for the price, got rid of the floating/bouncing feeling of the tired factory Chevy shocks.

I have a stock 06 duramax. If I install the Bilstein 5100 shocks front and back can I go to bigger tires. $$

Answer
Aftermarket shock absorbers will not raise the vehicle. In order to run larger tires you will have to either level or lift the truck.

I have an 02 duramax. It has an add a leaf and measures 24 1/2 extended. Are these the right ones?
