Questions and Answers

Can a faulty IPS cause shut down, hard starting then normal after a few minutes (then repeat)?
View Staff Answer
Answer

A bad IPR (Injection Pressure Regulator) can cause a no start or hard hot start. A loose IRP Solenoid or chaffed wires at solenoid can cause intermittent stalling as well. (Check to see if you have a DTC codes as well as verify your IPR cycle percentages against what is recommended)
