Description
The Bostech ISK975KIT Billet Fuel Filter Cap & Test Kit does more than increase the underhood aesthetics on your 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. This aluminum fuel filter cap features a durable, high-quality design. Over time, the factory-equipped plastic fuel filter cap can become damaged or brittle causing air leaks and other fuel system issues. For diagnostic testing, Bostech also includes a fuel pressure gauge, hose and fitting so you can install the fuel pressure gauge to the pre-installed schrader valve for diagnostic testing.

Is the fuel pressure gauge installed with the cap or just used separately whenever pressure needs to be checked?

The fuel pressure gauge is only to be installed when diagnostic testing is required.
What are folks using as far as thread sealant for the valve to cap? I assume some thread sealant is advised for where the fitting screws into the cap, what is recommended?

We would advise you to use a Teflon tape that is designed for diesel fuel/gasoline.
