Description
Reseal the back of your 5.9 and 6.7 Dodge/RAM diesel engine with the Cummins 5259499 Genuine Rear Main Seal. The rear main crankshaft seal is a leak point on many engines and there are several schools of thought on when to change it. Some don't believe in touching the rear main seal if it's not leaking, others change it anytime it's accessible such as replacing a transmission, torque converter, or clutch. Wherever you land on this, XDP has you covered. This is a genuine OEM replacement for stock, non-worn crankshafts. This rear main seal does not include the repair sleeve.

The seal was junk. The rubber was like dry rotted. I ordered a Cummins seal for an x15 and it was the same. Not sure what Cummins is doing to their seals but they’re junk. Waited 5+ days for this one and ended up using one from local parts store anyway.

This is an acutal Cummins seal, say made in USA on the box. This does NOT come with the depth guage installation tool. You will need to measure how deep your old seal sits, they are not flush with the block. Installed it in about 10 min. on a 2013 6.7 while doing the clutch, so good so far.
