A BankSpeed product proven in the Banks Duramax SidewinderÂ® S-10 diesel drag truck, the Big Hoss Intake Manifolds are the only purpose-built manifolds created for a Duramax. Big Hoss replaces the factory's crude clamshell intake with a tuned 16-port manifold assembly that provides tremendous flow and uniform air distribution for more available power at a given boost level.

Attenion: This is for the serious Performance Customer. This manifold is NOT a bolt on and go set up. There are several major engine components that must be relocated and/or modified to accommodate the intake system such as; the turbo, EGR valve, fuel and coolant components, alternator, AC compressor and engine fan. Also, this system was designed to operate with a custom twin turbo set up. With the proper tuning this will be the most powerful and proven kit for your Duramax.

The PPE 115010000 Turbo Inlet Upgrade Kit is used to replace and upgrade the restrictive factory turbo inlet duct. The purpose is to create a free flowing path for the intake air that feeds the turbocharger. When installed, the intake air can free flow into the turbo charger. The result is cooler air in the intake system. Cooler intake air allows the engine and cooling system to operate at a lower temperature.
The undersized factory turbo inlet creates a pressure drop in the intake air supply that feeds the turbo. When the intake air at this low pressure is compressed by the turbo the intake air becomes super heated. The intake air enters the intercooler which absorbs some of the heat and then passes this heat to the Radiator that is positioned directly behind the intercooler. The cooling efficiency of the Radiator is reduced by the hotter than necessary airflow passing from the intercooler and through to the radiator. Since the intake air is as hot as it is the combustion temperature is higher than necessary. The Turbo Inlet Upgrade Kit corrects these issues and creates lower operating temperatures for better efficiency.

When installed our turbo mouthpiece will increase throttle response and help lower you engine's EGTs keeping your engine running at cooler temperatures.
When tested to the ISO 5011 standard the SandB mouthpiece out performs both aFe and the LBZ mouthpieces with a 78.6% increase in air flow over the stock LLY Mouthpiece.
