Description
The PPE 114000550 Premium High-Efficiency Oil Filter is a premium grade oil filter that will protect the engine in your 2001-2019 GM 6.6L Duramax. This oil filter offers over double the surface area of a conventional oil filter to keep your engine oil cleaner. The increased surface area is manufactured out of accordion-folded nylon and fiberglass media that can filter down to 5-microns. Most OEM-quality oil filters have a range of 8 to 10-micron range mean this filter can filter particles half the size of the competition. With double the filtration media and twice the filter life of other oil filters, the PPE oil filter is a great choice for your truck.

So far I have been loving this filters. Adds a quart of oil and filters better than most other filters, PPE is a brand I trust and have a lot of their products in my LB7.

I've been using this filter for a few years and like a lot of aftermarket designs, I usually read the instructions to make sure I'm using it correctly. Unlike a oem filter you are supposed to tighten this one at least 1 whole rotation after contact with gasket. Just a guess on my end but I'd say the 1 star ratings didn't tighten it properly

10/10 do recommend, been using since PPE came out with this filter and never had any issues. The others must not know how to change oil.
