This ensures that their forged steel ends are built with the proper geometry, eliminating any bends in the tubes, which is often a result of using off-set tie rods instead of custom-engineered ones. Apex products boast SAE 1045 mid-carbon solid steel forged housings to enhance pull-out strength. They also feature SAE 1040 Chromoly induction heat-treated ball studs for exceptional wear resistance. The use of castle nuts results in effortless installation, removal, and longevity. Greaseable and pre-greased products help to extend the lifespan of various products. The use of rolled step threads enhances strength and facilitates smoother installation. Grade 8-10.9 hardware is used to enhance their strength. The CNC-machined housings of these products ensure easy installation and a perfect fit. Included CR rubber boots significantly improve durability and withstand wear and tear due to age, hot/cold temperatures, road-level ozone, and automotive fluids.
