An intercooler increases air density, allowing your engine to produce more power. So you wouldn't want to restrict the flow of air exiting the intercooler, right? Unfortunately, that's exactly what the stock piece does. Click here to see how cramped and angular the factory inlet is compared to Banks' larger, streamlined cast-metal High-Ram. Banks' High-Ram intake flows air much more efficiently, providing greater boost without the drawback of raising turbine back-pressure. In flow tests, the Ram-Air Intake delivers up to a 64% reduction in pressure loss. You'll enjoy improved acceleration and better fuel economy! Includes a 3-1/2" constant-diameter boost tube to flow the air from the intercooler without restriction.

It doesn't get much easier than this! Took me less than 2 hours to install and with the Six Gun tuner and air box already feel the change and noticed fuel savings! Now I know why Banks has been around so long.Thanks.

I bought this intake vs others thinking it was designed by Banks, who boast about their engineering. I really was hoping for some improved performance. What I feel I got was neither. First, this was not exactly an easy install, even if it would have gone well. This was not just an unbolt the old and bolt on new one. Regardless, while bolting on new intake, one of the extended rods snapped while hand tightening! It broke off in manifold! After a nightmare in fixing that I now had a high pitched whistle at certain RPM's. I did not see any fuel gains and only minor power and throttle response improvements. Oh yeah, did I tell you you have to take this thing off to get your EGR off? I broke another rod after cleaning the EGR. Nightmare. Worst purchase I've made.

Great product, easy to install. lower EGTs, a little better mileage per gallon and better turbo response.
