The Banks Power Techni-Cooler Intercooler System 25978 will enhance the airflow out of the turbocharger and into the engine of your 2004-2005 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY. This intercooler significantly increases the cooling capacity by balancing the richer fuel mixture with greater airflow and cooler, denser air. Denser air delivers more oxygen, which increases combustion as well as engine efficiency. This results in higher constant power and more power at any RPM, helping increase fuel economy and lower EGTs. That's a truckload of features! The factory intercooler has an inferiority complex as it's smaller than the Techni-Cooler in every aspect, especially the boost tubes, core area, inlet & outlet size, and even the end tanks. This boost is oxygen amplifies power, lowers exhaust gas temps (EGTs), and helps improve fuel economy. When EGTs are under control, the tuner doesn't need to limit fuel delivery.
